The Georg Agricola University of Applied Sciences (THGA) is a renowned yet forward-looking engineering university in Bochum. From Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering to Industrial Engineering, Raw Materials Engineering and Post-Mining – we offer a wide range of practice-oriented engineering Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes, full-time and part-time, and maintain close partnerships with industry to ensure excellent career prospects.

We do not charge tuition fees, only a semester contribution of € 238.80 is charged. If you meet all the admission requirements, you can enrol directly.

Learn more Get ready to study in Germany

We are a partner of the DAAD programme ‘VORsprung’. This programme offers international prospective students digital preparation for a bachelor's degree in science and technology in Germany. The free online course is aimed at participants with German level B2 without a direct university entrance qualification. The programme can be completed entirely from your home country, including the TestAS and TestDaF examinations. In contrast to a Studienkolleg, travelling to Germany is not required. After successfully completing the programme and both examinations, participants can apply directly to our university.
