For talents from all placesHidden Champions

For more than 200 years THGA has been generating prospects for its students and qualifying talents from all kinds of places for caareers that require academic degrees. Thus we also support young people and their personal development.

Starting with our motto "educational climbing", THGA launched its project Hidden Champions to encourage people in jobs to do a part-time degree and qualify as future leaders and experts.

What are the Hidden Champions in NRW?

  • Small and meidum-sized companies which want to offer additional qualifications to their employees
  • Employees in the region who are ready to take on more responsibility
  • Jobseekers who have not thought about a part-time degree so far, for example, because of their social circumstances or a lack of funding

This project is THGA's contribution to mitigating the lack of qualified staff and leaders in NRW: we want to retain such people in the region and to offer new prospects to them.

Studying at THGA

At the moment, our part-time degree programmes are completely offered online. You can find an overview of our part-time degreees here. if you have any questions or need advice, please contact us er e-mail, phone or even Zoom. As a state acknowledged refunded private university managed by DMT-LB we do not charge tuition fees, only a small fee for using the services of the university and public transport(Semesterbeitrag).

Cooperations

The project Hidden Champions sees a close collaboration between THGA and our partners. This collaboration involves our long-term partner IGBCE, the trade uniton of the mining, chemical and energy sectors, the chambers of commerce and industry in the regions as well as the regional employers' associations. Moreover, THGA has been an active member in the regional network of medium-sized enterprises in Germany (Bundesverband Mittelständische Wirtschaft) since 1 March 2021.

Last but not least the 2019 trade fair Kontakt:Ingenieur at THGA which introduces companies and graduates and students to each other was done for the first time in cooperation with Hidden Champions. Companies from all fields taught at the university presented their offers to students, and the new cooperation partners of Hidden Champions joined as well.
